I would like to share some of my experiences with you. If you like working with your hands there is nothing better than the accomplishment of a simple project that would bring pride and joy and happiness, after the project is done. With a hammer, a handful of nails and some old wood piles, I've been wood tinkering since the age of seven. My mother would always find me in the garage straightening out nails so I can reuse them over and over again to build make-believe sailboats, skate carts and other projects.
Wood is unique and fun to work with, it is one of nature's most wonderful and natural material there is more than a million ways to transform it, play with it, built with it and the list can go on and on. My wood designs and videos would be informative and easy for all ages, to take advantage of.
All you need is some courage... Go ahead and give it a try... Let the fun begin :-)

I have been looking for a good table saw for a long time and craigslist came to the rescue again. Steel City is the manufactura but the bad news they are no longer in business. Tha table saw is heavy which makes it one of the steady out there without having to drop a penny on its head when running. I love IT ;-)

Pallet Wood Picture Frame and Hand Torch Contrast On Wood (Wood Grain or Texture) Stand Out.
Wow, beautifully done. I wouldn't have thought to add decorative elements to the heal. Nice job.
@4:49 It is not tapered, there is an internal stop to prevent accidently putting that pulley on backwards. On the back of that pulley there are a series of indentations that act as a rotation lock when used with the little spring loaded post on the other side of the whole assembly
I am looking at a jointer like this. I love how you showed taking it all apart. And I really like the colored paint job you gave it. I can't find part 4 on your site though. It would be great to see it all finished and running.
I would love a copy please!
That looked like an actual 2x4! Not a 1 1/2 x 3 1/2. Where do you find those? Personal sawmill?
All looked great till you got to the speaker grill. You should have put it on the inside of the amp. On top the speaker
Cool video. A link to the kit would have been nice. Actually, thats the only reason i didnt hit the Sub button
Does anyone know for a fact what size the drive v-belt is? Where can I get a 3 or 4 jaw chuck for this lathe?
In case you still need this info... This lathe has an MT1 taper and a 3/4x10tpi thread. You would have to get an adapter to fit the chuck you want to use. The v-belt I put on mine says "PIX-1/2x37 /A35K/ 4L370K"
Truly adorable!
you can use EFX pedals on those too.
You are the best!!!!!!!!!!! <3
Nice one thanks for sharing
Hows it holding up with just drywall anchors?
Can this be upgraded to new blades
Great and creative build !!!
This is so awesome!
The motor mount is missing from your lathe
Sehr gut , ein gute Idee
The lathe I got had a hinge on the front of the motor and the weight of the motor holds it tight and to change the belt position just flip the motor forward move the belt and let the motor back.... Simple easy and it works perfectly
I think it's a law of the universe somehow; these used jointers in Craigslist and FB Marketplace are either severely over priced or absolute bargains; there's almost nothing even close to the middle.
you forgot - wire cutters, solder flux, pencil or marker, a ruler or tape measure, and a drill press.a scroll saw.a small pry tool.clamps, hot glue gun & glue sticks.wood glue your welcome. some ppl would need sources to accuire the componets.. speaker, switch, ect. also when buying you amp module they have ones that will run off 9v so you can make it portable. lots of these style modules produce .5 to 1 watt , and are great for a pratice amp, they can be heard by others in the room when you are demo'ing your CBG to the family at christmas time.
Brilliant! I can't wait to make one for my grandson.
I bought the same lathe from a guy that has it mounted to a sheet of plywood. I'm going to build a bench for it. I plugged it in and it works. (I know nothing about lathes) Here's my question. The main shaft that holds the tool rest and the tail stock is not secure from rotating forward and backward. there is a "key" on the bottom of the shaft to keep the tool rest from rotating but the entire assembly will move forward and backward as the shaft does? Is that supposed to happen?
Thanks for posting this video. I just inherited one of these. Not sure if it's the exact model but everything looks very close to the same. Haven't picked it up yet, just looking at photos. Uncertain how I feel about the bar design, but see no reason why that wouldn't work fine. I look forward to trying it out. It's mounted on a flat board that looks a bit warped, so I plan to keep the option for re-mounting it open.
Cool project, new subscriber
That is freaking awesome man love it
Mine is the exact same model and makes quite a high pitch sound when I turn it on. Any advice?
Do you have plans available?
Thanks for the idea. I just finished one.
Just a beautiful job.
Brilliant! What a beautiful instrument!
I Love it, gotta build one!
Good 😊

Your cat wants a bite of that fish.
Glad to see a scroll saw being used for a change. Seems like most of the other builders hate them.
I bought plans from Woodprix and did it very quickly.
Hi Chris. The first cat I was ever blessed to be owned by was a Persian and looks just like Mercury. Upon meeting my beloved Spanky my friend, Chris, asked if he got smacked in the face by a pan! I watched the entire video just to see your kitties but especially to see Mercury, as my guardian angel is on the rainbow bridge, but I have blessed to have been rescued by another Persian. Harry is a cutie as well. I wouldn’t know what to do with myself with the both of them. The cat tree turned out to be fantastic! I am sure they love you for it.
I just bought the same model planer for a Benjamin. Works great.
I have an 8" crescent, its older than yours I believe, mine is babbit bearing and 2 knife cutter head it cuts Amazing better than anything made today
There's no turning back so think it through all the way, words to live by. Amazing looking 2 x 4, Thanks for sharing!
I'm really sure you can build it yourself. I did this 2 weeks ago thanks to the Woodglut plans.
Are plans available for this?
Nice collection of tools....
If mine takes more than a half-hour to build I'm chucking it! It's only one string, it's supposed to be 'rough & ready'!
Your build was great!!! My only question, where did you get the rest of the parts other than the amp module, and how many amps does the amp module require? It looks like 1-2 amps? That cigar box has such thick walls, mine are thinner but they work. Love from NW Colorado. Thanxz
I did something like this a month ago with plans from Woodglut.
Idea! Put a counter weight on your wheel to reduce the vibration!
where would you put it on the wheel? Weight equivalent to spray of tin , please?
What did you use to clean your lathe it looks great Thanks
Where did you find that speaker? Thanks
